Chocolate Gravy Recipe

Ingredients

3 Tbsp. cocoa

1 1/4 cup sugar

1/4 tsp. salt

1/2 cup flour

3 cups milk

2 Tbsp. butter

1/4 cup water or milk

1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

Mix cocoa, sugar, salt and flour well in a bowl. Heat milk and butter to scalding in heavy pan. Add 1/4 cup water (or milk) to dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Pour into milk mixture and simmer about 5 minutes until thick. Add 1 tsp. vanilla. Gravy will become clear when done. We serve over hot buttered biscuts.
