How to make it

  • Socor both sided of steak in criss cross pattern cutting 1/8 or so deep, place in pan
  • combine onion, garlic,2 tablespoons of vinegar and oil and pepper in small bowl
  • Pour over steak, turn to coat both sides
  • Sit in frig for at least 4 hours or overnight
  • Heat grill
  • Remove from marinade
  • Sprinkle both sides with salt
  • Grill covered over medium heat for 9-12 minutes
  • 140 for med-rare
  • Place on cutting board and let sit for 5 minutes
  • Cut diagionally in to thin slices
  • Pour accumulated juices over top and drizzle with remaining vinegar
  • Enjoy! I did!

    I like balsamic with anything! I've never been a flank steak person either, but I'll take your word for it and try it! I might even just try it with a friendlier cut of steak it sounds so delicious!
