Slow Cooked Flank Steak Recipe
Good meal for those hot days so you dont have to use the oven. Saw Taste of home website. YUM. Serve with noodles and salad.

Ingredients
  • 1 flank steak (about 1-1/2 pounds), cut in half
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 can (4 ounces) chopped creen chilies
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1-1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt ( i omit)
  • 1/8 tsp pepper

Directions
  1. In skillet, brown steak in oil.
  2. Transfer to a 5 quart slow cooker
  3. In the same skillet, saute onion for 1 minute
  4. Gradually add water, stirring to loosen browned bits from pan.
  5. Add remaining ingredients; bring to boil.
  6. Pour over flank steak.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or until meat is tender. Slice the meat, serve with onion and pan juices.
