Raw Vegan Brownies Recipe

A new twist on a classic. These are great to pack in lunches or eat straight from the freezer.

Ingredients
  • “Brownies”:
  • 1 c walnuts
  • 1 c dates
  • 1/4 c cocoa powder
  • Icing:
  • 2 avocados
  • 1/3 c-1/2 c agave nectar
  • 1/4 c cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • Dash salt
  • Dash cinnamon

Directions
  1. Blend all 3 brownie ingredients in food processor until dry and chunky. Press mixture into small pan and set aside.
  2. Blend all icing ingredients in blender or food processor until smooth.
  3. Spread over brownie mixture and chill in freezer for 1 hr. Cut into pieces and serve.

Yeah they are. If you've ever heard of/tried Larabar's, they are all-natural, preservative-free, vegan, kosher, energy health bars, and they are delicious. These brownies taste exactly like the coconut cocoa variety. You can change the recipe to suit your tastes. Add or omit anything you want. :)


These are really good. I made them a few weeks ago with the same recipe posted on another site. I'm not sure where it originated, but it is yummy! Oh, and I didn't even make the icing, haha, just the "brownie" part is good all on it's own!


I wouldn't think of cooking anything vegan but these sound awesome. I think I will try these. Thank you
