How to make it

  • Combine: eggs, buttermilk and oats, mix well
  • Add in oil, molasses, stir (if you add the oil first the molasses will not stick to your measuring spoon.)
  • Add flour, salt, soda, baking powder and stir till all ingredients are combined
  • Pour batter into a preheated and greased waffle iron and cook per the manufactures directions. My waffle iron takes about 5 min a waffle to cook.
  • Or drop by 1/4 c fulls onto a heated griddle for pancakes and flip when bubbles from on top.
  • I like to make these in big batches and freeze for latter.
  • Serve with syrup, jam, applesause or fruit.
