Made these cookies this weekend. Used butterscotch pudding mix and Heath toffee bits instead of chips. Very, very good!

I have used this recipe for years; it is great! I double the recipe, then freeze half...they still don't last long around here (and it's just me and my husband; oh dear!)

I accidentally stuffed up the recipe and used 1 full cup of sugar + the 3/4 cups of brown sugar and only 2 cups of flour instead of 2 1/4 cups (was a long day don't ask lol) and they still came out delicious!!! great recipe will definitely make them again!

This has been my favorite chocolate chip recipe of all time for the last year. I don't eat them but I make it for my friends. Everyone always asks for the recipe

Penny... to keep cookies soft, place them in a large container ... on one side you have the cookies another side just a plain piece of white bread. Make sure the bread doesn't touch the cookies because they will turn to mush. The moisture from the bread will go right into your cookies! Also this will save a previously stale and hard cookie too!!!

Cookies are on the cooling rack. Going back over the recipe I discovered I left out the pudding mix. Going to have to make these again. They're pretty good without the pudding.
