Ingredients

1/2 lb (225 g) strawberries, hulled

1 cup (250 ml) heavy cream, half-and-half, or milk

2 Tbs (10 ml) sugar or honey

1/2 tsp (2 ml) ground ginger

Ice cubes

1 quart (1 L) club soda

Directions

Combine the strawberries, cream, sugar, and ginger in an electric blender and puree until smooth.

Pour into a pitcher and add the ice cubes and club soda, stirring to mix.

Serves 4 to 6.
