How to make it

  • On low heat (Grandpa used an electric skillet), fry bacon til tender and well done but not too crisp
  • Remove bacon with slotted spoon, drain on paper towel
  • Add onions to bacon grease, season with salt and pepper.
  • Cover and steam on low heat til golden brown, but still moist.
  • Return bacon to pan, stir in to onions
  • On Medium Heat, add whipping cream
  • Simmer at least 15 minutes, stirring often.
  • Adjust seasoning
  • Serve over boiled potatoes.
