Hot Broccoli Dip Recipe
This is a wonderful dip for a tailgating party or cocktail party. Easy to make and simply delicious.

Ingredients
  • 2 10 oz packages of chopped broccoli
  • 2/3 Cup finely chopped onion
  • 2/3 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1 2oz. can sliced mushrooms drained
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 6 oz packages of kraft garlic cheese cubed
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic salt

Directions
  1. cook broccoli according to package directions drain well
  2. Saute onions, celery, and sliced musrooms in a large skillet until tender.
  3. when tender add broccoli, soup, cheese, lemon juice, and garlic salt stirring until cheese has melted and ingredients are combined.
  4. serve in a chafing or fondue dish.
  5. serve with fritos scoops.
  6. freezes well.

Used to have this recipe years ago, and somehow lost the cookbook it was in...thanks SO MUCH for posting it! One of my favorites...=)


This looks good. I have a similar way of making this. I use cream cheese, cream of mushroom soup, butter, minced onions, minced garlic, cheese, sour cream, and of course broccoli! I also sprinkle Italian bread crumbs over the top and bake it. I didn't think of adding lemon juice...hummm
