From auntybea 16 years agoIngredients
- 5 slices bacon, diced shopping list
- 2 tsp. sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 6 cups chopped cabbage (1" squares) shopping list
- 3 cups cooked noodles (4 ounces uncooked) shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- paprika shopping list
How to make it
- Sate bacon until crisp in large frying pan. Remove bacon; set aside. Stir sugar and salt into bacon drippings. Add cabbage, stirring until cabbage is coated with bacon drippings. Cover and cook 10 minutes. Add cooked noodles and bacon stirring to blend. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Spoon into a 2 quart casserole; cover tightly and bake at 325 F for 45 minutes. Sopread sour cream over top of casserole; sprinkle with paprika and return to oven for 5 minutes more.
- I usually fry about a 1/2 lb. of bacon, put half in the casserole and reserve the other half and sprinkle on top at serving time.
