Tea Room Filled Tarts

- Tart pastry (makes 12 tartlets) shopping list
- 4 C flour shopping list
- 1 pound unsalted butter, cold, cubed shopping list
- 1 C granulated sugar shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- pinch of salt shopping list
- Basic custard Topping: shopping list
- Whisk together: shopping list
- 1 whole egg shopping list
- 1 egg yolk shopping list
- 1 1/4 C heavy cream shopping list
- 1/4 C granulated sugar shopping list
- cinnamon to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Process all in food processor until blended.
- Press into greased 4" tartlet pans w/ removable bottoms.
- Fillings: You can use almost any kind of fresh fruit (berries, bananas, apples, pears, peaches, etc.)
- Simply arrange decoratively in the uncooked tart shell.
- Pour over the basic custard topping and bake at 400 for approx 30 minutes or until the custard is set and the tart has begun to brown.
- Serve warm with fresh whipped cream.
