Open Face Turkey Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

2 normal slices of some sort of fancy deli bread. I used Asiago Cheese from Super Target

2 small cloves of garlic

1 1/2 Tbsp butter

Onion

Tomato

Monterey/Colby Cheese

Honey

Sliced Turkey

Directions

Lay the two slices of bread on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil (I don't like cleaning).

Finely chop the garlic and combine it with the butter in a small bowl. Microwave until the butter is fully melted.

Place a spoonful of the butter mixture onto each slice of bread and spread around.

Finely slice some onion and tomato. Place a desired amount on each sandwich.

Pile on the turkey!

Drizzle the turkey with a fine amount of honey. This will add some sweetness to balance out some of the garlic punch.

Place a slice of cheese on each sandwich and place the baking sheet in the oven.

Broil until the cheese is melted.

I like the idea of the honey with garlic - and now you've made me hungry with that picture. With grocery prices today, "cheap but delicious" is becoming a necessary motto - will definitely try this one.
