Found this in a book in the history of and as I think cooked cabbage is very under rated I thought I needed to share.

Ingredients
- 1 large cabbage
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ¼ inch slice of onion diced
- 2 slices of bacon cut into 1” pieces
- or one TBL spoon margarine
Directions
- Core Cabbage leaving a 3-4 inch cavity
- Sprinkle the cavity with salt and pepper
- Fill with diced onion
- If using bacon place on top of onion
- If using margarine place on top of onion
- Double wrap in foil
- Place on grill with cavity upright
- Cook over indirect heat for 2-3 hours until soft
