Flavorful Venison or beef Stir Fry

- cooked rice shopping list

- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch shopping list
- 2 tsp. sugar shopping list
- 6 Tbsp. soy sauce (I use light) shopping list
- 1/4c. white wine, apple juice, OR water shopping list
- ______________________ shopping list
- 1 lb. steak, cut into thin strips (or boneless round steak, strips) shopping list
- 3 c. broccoli florets shopping list
- 2 med. carrots, thinly sliced at an angle shopping list
- 1 pkg. (6 oz.) frozen pea pods, thawed shopping list
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion shopping list
- ______________________ shopping list
- 2 Tbsp. canola oil, divided shopping list
- ______________________ shopping list
- 1- 8oz. can sliced water chestnuts,undrained shopping list
How to make it
- Make cooked rice.
- _____________________
- In a bowl, combine cornstarch, sugar, soy sauce, and wine (or apple juice or water) until smooth.
- Add beef and toss to coat, set aside.
- ____________________
- In large skillet, stir-fry broccoli, carrots, pea pods, and onion in
- 1 Tbsp. oil for 1 minute.
- Stir in water chestnuts
- Cover and simmer for 4 mins., then remove and keep warm.
- In the same skilet, stir-fry beef in remaining oil until desired doneness.
- Return vegetables to pan, toss.
- Serve over rice.
