Ingredients
  • 8 oz. strawberry juice (from canned or pulverized and strained strawberries)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 tsp strawberry flavoring

Directions
  1. Put all ingredients into a medium saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring until liquid comes to a boil.
  3. Turn down heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add more sugar if you want a thicker syrup.
  5. When your syrup is the thickness you desire, turn off heat and let cool.
  6. Pour into bottle with a screw-on cap.
  7. This will keep for several months on the cupboard shelf.
  8. *You can use this on pancakes, waffles, to make smoothies, strawberry milk, on ice cream or in recipes.
