- 2 lamb shanks (Medium) shopping list
- 1 onion shopping list
- 1 Bay Leaf shopping list
- 1 Stick of cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon of Tumeric shopping list
- 1/2 Teaspoon of ground coriander Seed shopping list
- 1/2 Teaspoon of ground black pepper shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, Finely diced shopping list
- 2 1/2 litres vegetable or chicken stock shopping list
- 275 grams, brown lentils shopping list
- 1 Bunch coriander shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Place Shanks, Cinnamon, Tuneric, Coriander Seed, Black Pepper, Garlic and Stock in a thick based pot good for stewing.
- 2. Bring to the boil and simmer for 1 hour.
- 3. Add Brown lentils, and tomatoe if you feel like it, and simmer for 1 hour.
- 4. Remove Shank and remove meat from the bone. Whilst doing this reduce the sauce and replace the meat once decently reduced.
- 5. Add chopped Coriander and Sambal Olek or Chilli and serve.
