GREEK STYLE SALAD This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Cullen Estate in Allen, Texas in 1984.

Ingredients
  • 3 romaine lettuce leaves
  • 1 medium tomato
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese crumbled
  • Dressing:
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 6 pitted black olives

Directions
  1. Tear lettuce into bite size pieces and cut tomato into small chunks.
  2. In glass bowl combine lettuce, tomato and cheese then cover and chill.
  3. In a cup combine olive oil, lemon juice, spices and beat together with a fork.
  4. Pour dressing over salad and toss gently to coat ingredients.
  5. Slice olives and sprinkle over salad then serve immediately.
