Sift dry ingredients

Mix in the milk

Seperate the eggs

Mix in the egg yolks

Mix in the melted bu

Whisk egg whites

Fold the egg whites

Bake in a waffle pan

Until golden an cris

A piece of the waffl

Honey on top

Finish off with crea

Ingredients

3 cups cake flour (750 ml)

2 tablespoons baking powder (30 ml)

1 teaspoon salt (5 ml)

4 teaspoons granulated sugar (20 ml)

2 cups milk (250 ml)

4 eggs, seperated

6 tablespoons butter, melted (65 ml)

honey / maple syrup/ golden syrup

Whipped cream

Directions

Sift dry ingredients together.

Stir in the sugar.

Gradually stir in the milk while mixing.

Mix very well.

Seperate the eggs.

Beat the egg yolks.

Stir in the eggs.

Stir in the melted butter.

Mix well.

Beat the egg whites until stiff points form.

Fold into dough.

Heat up a waffle maker (I have an electric one)

Spoon the dough into the waffle maker.

Open when golden and crispy.

Pour some honey over.

Top with cream or ice cream.

Eat immediately.

These are basically the same as in the US, this is a really good recipe, BTW! We have ours for breakfast with sausage, bacon or ham and eggs sometimes and for dessert. Great post!
