Fresh Ginger Sauce Recipe
A delicious, updated version of the Japanese salad dressing you find in sushi restaurants. Good over a bowl of anything from lettuce to steamed veggies to soba noodles and tofu.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 red onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp minced fesh ginger root
  • 1/4 stalk celery
  • 1 tbsp tamari
  • 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Directions
  1. Combine water and cornstarch in a microwaveable dish, whisking to incorporate.
  2. Microwave 30-40 seconds, until clear and thick.
  3. Pour into a blender, and add remaining ingredients.
  4. Puree smooth.
  5. Store in refrigerator up to 1 month.
