This is so simple, beautiful to look at as well as deliicous. Sometimes I subsitute good quality balsamic vinegar instead of the orange liquer. Only use fresh berries please.

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier (orange-flavored liqueur)
  • 1 pound strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, torn in small pieces

Directions
  1. In medium bowl, whisk together sugar and liqueur.
  2. Gently fold in strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and mint.
  3. Serve immediately (or cover and refrigerate for up to 4 hours) in pretty glass dessert or pudding dishes.
  4. Serve with some some creme fraiche or clotted cream on the side
