Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons meat, poultry, sausage drippings or butter or margarine
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • salt and pepper, chicken a bit of boullion powder

Directions
  1. Put drippings or butter in a sauce pan over med-high heat.
  2. Whisk in the flour until well blended; cook over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes, until bubbly.
  3. Remove from heat and gradually add milk whisking constantly;
  4. Return to heat & whisk until the gravy thickens; which may take several minutes
  5. Whisk in the cream, salt & pepper. and a bit of boullion pwder to taste.
