How to make it

  • In large bowl combine sugar, brown sugar, butter, extract and eggs then beat well.
  • Add flour, peel, baking powder and salt and blend well then stir in nuts.
  • Divide dough into 3 equal parts.
  • Shape each into roll and wrap with plastic wrap then refrigerate 2 hours.
  • Heat oven to 425 then cut into 1/4" slices.
  • Place slices 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheets and bake 7 minutes.
  • Remove immediately from cookie sheets and allow to cool on racks.
