A frozen blender version of the Fog Cutter, great on a hot summer day

Ingredients
  • 1/2 oz Orgeat Syrup
  • 2 oz FRESH SQUEEZED Lemon Juice
  • 1 oz FRESH SQUEEZED Orange Juice
  • 1/2 oz Gin
  • 1/2 oz Brandy
  • 1 1/2 oz light Puerto Rican Rum
  • 1/2 oz Sweet Sherry

Directions
  1. Blend all ingredients except sherry with 8oz of ice
  2. Pour into Fog Cutter Mug
  3. Add Cracked ice to top up glass
  4. Float Sherry on top of drink
  5. Decorate with fresh mint, and s stir stick
  6. Add Straw, and enjoy.

Orgeat syrup is a bar mixer, its an almond flavoured syrup similar to something like Grenadine.. (lots of sugar.. color.. flavour)
Its available from Trader Vic's, and most bar supply stores. One can substitute Ameretto Flavoured Bar Syrup.. its close, but much darker, so your drink might not be a nice light pretty color.

other companies make it too.. Traders is a bit more comercial, and IMHO more artificial then in years back.

Also Torani manufactures Orgeat Syrup

But if your on this site.. try making your own.. Thats what I will be doing for this weekend (friends coming over) and think what bragging rights you will have! LOL!

An All natural one (the way to go) is made by Teisseire.
