Ingredients

How to make it

  • Oven at 375F.
  • Combine softened butter, sugar, molasses and egg. Beat well.
  • Mix dry ingredients together well.
  • Add wet to dry. Mix well.
  • Add crystallized ginger.
  • Chill for 1 hour (or several hours, i have even chilled overnight!)
  • Form 1 inch balls, roll each in granulated sugar.
  • Place on greased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.
  • Bake 8-10 minutes. Do not overbake!
  • Makes about 5 dozen cookies.

    I love your addition of the crystalized ginger! I have been useing the same recipe for molasses cookies every holiday for the past 5 years. It is time for a change!I will most definitley be trying this one. Thank-you. Bookmarked and printed.
