Ingredients
  • 1 lb turkey sausage (smoked, sweet, or hot)
  • 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into chunks (optional)
  • 2 cans (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 cups water
  • 1.5 cups rice, uncooked
  • 1 cup salsa, any kind
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 small green or red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 can (4 oz) chopped green chilies
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 tsp southwest seasoning mix (optional)

Directions
  1. Spray crock pot with cooking spray.
  2. Mix in all ingredients in slow cooker
  3. Cover, cook on low 6 hours.
