Mocha Velvet Pie

MOCHA VELVET PIE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Massey Estate in Malakoff, Texas in 1992.
Ingredients
- 8" pie shell shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 square unsweetened chocolate melted shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 1-1/2 tablespoons instant coffee grounds shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1/2 cup cream for whipping shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare pastry shell.
- Cream butter in medium bowl then gradually add sugar and cream well.
- Cool melted chocolate then blend into butter sugar mixture with instant coffee.
- Add eggs one at a time beating very well after each addition.
- Turn into baked pastry shell and chill 2 hours.
- Just before serving top with whipped cream.
