Western Beef-Barley Skillet

- 3/4 pound ground beef shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped celery shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped green pepper shopping list
- 1 1/4 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon marjoram shopping list
- 1 teaspoon sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1/2 cup chili sauce shopping list
- 2 cups canned tomatoes, broken shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups water shopping list
- 3/4 cup pearl barley or quick-cooking barley shopping list
How to make it
- Saute in skillet first four ingredients.
- Drain off excess fat and stir in remaining ingredients.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer, cover and cook about 35
- minutes for quick cooking barley or 1 hour for pearl barley.
