Ingredients

1-14 oz can undrained, crushed Pineapple

2-14 oz cans Cherry Pie Filling

1- Double Layer White or Golden DRY Cake Mix

1/2 lb cold Butter sliced very thin OR

1/2 lb butter melted**

1 lb Coconut, Flaked or Desicated

1 c chopped Pecans or Walnuts

Directions

In a greased non-metalic 9x13 baking dish, layer all ingreds in order given. DO NOT stir.

** If using melted butter, drizzle in a thin stream to cover as much of the cake powder as possible.

Bake at 350F for 40 minutes or til top is lightly browned.

Serve warm over Vanilla Ice Cream or cold with a drizzle of heavy cream.

If you have to bake this in a metal pan, once the cake has cooled, move it into a glass or plastic dish. The pineapple re-acts with the metal and turns black where-ever it touches.
