Clams Baked with Chorizo

- 1 clove garlic,peeled shopping list
- 1/4c almonds shopping list
- 1Tbs capers shopping list
- 2Tbs parsley shopping list
- 1/4c extra virgin olive oil,preferably Spanish shopping list
- 3oz. mild chorizo,casing removed,minced shopping list
- 1/2c dry breadcrumbs shopping list
- 3 doz. littleneck clams on the half shell shopping list
How to make it
- Turn on food processor,drop garlic through feed tube and process till minced. Add almonds,capers and parsley and process till finely ground.
- Heat 1 Tbs oil in a medium-size skillet. Add chorizo and cook over med. heat till it starts sizzling. Add almond mixture and remaining oil. Saute briefly.Stir in bread crumbs and cook,stirring,over low heat till ingredients arewell blended.
- Heat oven to 500. Spoon crumb topping onto clams.arrange on baking sheet. Bake 10 mins,until topping is sizzling and lightly browned. Serve
