Canned Fruit Cobbler Recipe
This is from Cousin Barb. You can use any canned fruit you like, but I like to make mine with mixed fruit with extra cherries!

Ingredients
  • Fruit Mixture:
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups mixed fruit with extra cherries
  • 1 Tbs tapioca (or cornstarch)
  • butter
  • cinnamon
  • ~@~
  • Topping Mixture:
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 Tbs sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 Tbs Shortening (or butter)
  • 1/2 c. Milk

Directions
  1. Mix sugar, tapioca, fruit in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil for 1 minute.
  2. Pour into a 1 1/2qt baking dish, dot with butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  3. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder together, cut in shortening, stir in milk.
  4. Drop by spoonfuls onto hot fruit. Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown, about 25 to 30 minutes.
  5. Serve warm with cream
