Canned Fruit Cobbler

- fruit Mixture: shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 cups mixed fruit with extra cherries shopping list
- 1 Tbs tapioca (or cornstarch) shopping list
- butter shopping list
- cinnamon shopping list

- Topping Mixture: shopping list
- 1 cup flour shopping list
- 1 Tbs sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 3 Tbs shortening (or butter) shopping list
- 1/2 c. milk shopping list
How to make it
- Mix sugar, tapioca, fruit in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil for 1 minute.
- Pour into a 1 1/2qt baking dish, dot with butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Sift flour, sugar, baking powder together, cut in shortening, stir in milk.
- Drop by spoonfuls onto hot fruit. Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown, about 25 to 30 minutes.
- Serve warm with cream
