How to make it

  • Mix sugar, tapioca, fruit in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil for 1 minute.
  • Pour into a 1 1/2qt baking dish, dot with butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  • Sift flour, sugar, baking powder together, cut in shortening, stir in milk.
  • Drop by spoonfuls onto hot fruit. Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown, about 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Serve warm with cream
