Caramel Crunch

- 9 cups popped popcorn shopping list
- 9 cups Crispix cereal shopping list
- 1 cup slivered almonds shopping list
- 1 cup butter, cubed shopping list
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup shopping list
- 2 cups packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda shopping list
How to make it
- In a very large heatproof bowl, combine the popcorn, cereal and almonds; set aside.
- In a heavy-duty saucepan, melt the butter; stir in corn syrup and brown sugar.
- Cook and stir over med. heat until mixture comes to a boil.
- Reduce heat to med.-low.
- Cook 5 minutes longer, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from the heat.
- Stir kn baking soda (mixture will foam up and get lighter in color).
- Carefully pour over the popcorn mixture; stir to coat evenly.
- Transfer to two 15x10x1-in. baking pans, coated lightly with cooking spray.
- Bake at 250 degrees for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Spread on waxed paper to cool.
- Store the mix in airtight containers.
