Caramel Crunch Recipe
Kids really like the flavors and texture of this snack. At Christmas or Halloween you can put it in bags and give it as presents.

Ingredients
  • 9 cups popped popcorn
  • 9 cups Crispix cereal
  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 cup butter, cubed
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions
  1. In a very large heatproof bowl, combine the popcorn, cereal and almonds; set aside.
  2. In a heavy-duty saucepan, melt the butter; stir in corn syrup and brown sugar.
  3. Cook and stir over med. heat until mixture comes to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to med.-low.
  5. Cook 5 minutes longer, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove from the heat.
  7. Stir kn baking soda (mixture will foam up and get lighter in color).
  8. Carefully pour over the popcorn mixture; stir to coat evenly.
  9. Transfer to two 15x10x1-in. baking pans, coated lightly with cooking spray.
  10. Bake at 250 degrees for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  11. Spread on waxed paper to cool.
  12. Store the mix in airtight containers.
