Blueberry Freeze

- 8 oz. blueberries, fresh or frozen shopping list
- 1 1/2 tbls. lemon juice, fresh shopping list
- Pinch of salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup boiled water shopping list
- 1/2 cup zinfandel, any kind shopping list
How to make it
- Cook time does not include freeze time
- Put blueberries into food processor and puree
- Mix sugar and boiled water in bowl until sugar dissolves
- Put blueberries into mixing bowl
- Add lemon juice and salt to blueberries, whisk together, then add half the sugar water and all the zinfandel
- Whisk again and taste
- Add more sugar water depending on the dryness of wine
- Strain through sieve to remove berry skin and seeds
- Put into 9 x 13 glass dish and cover with wrap
- freeze 12-24 hours
- Take out of freezer and let it sit for 15 minutes
- Cut up into small pieces
- Put into food processor
- Blend until all frozen pieces are gone
- Put in container and freeze again
