Sunbeam Pound Cake

This is a recipe from the cookbook that came with mom's sunbeam mixer. It makes a nice dense cake that we often use for trifle. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1 lb butter - softened shopping list
- 2 1/4 C sugar shopping list
- 9 eggs - room temperature shopping list
- 4 C flour shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Grease and flour bottom and sides of 9x13 pan.
- Cream butter until smooth.
- Add sugar gradually - beat until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time.
- Add flour one cup at a time - making sure each cup is mixed in well before the next is added.
- Pour into pan and bake for 45min to 1hr 15min (depending on ovens) or until toothpick comes out clean.
