How to make it

  • Use a big bowl for this! :)
  • Break pound cake down into bite sized pieces.
  • Prepare Bird's custard according to package instructions.
  • Add hot custard to pound cake bits.
  • Add fruit of choice - we love to use canned pineapple tidbits. Strawberries are great too!
  • Fold all ingredients together gently.
  • Whipped Topping
  • Using a mixer - beat heavy whipping cream to stiff peaks.
  • We prefer to leave the cream unsweetened. It enhances the flavor of the trifle.
  • This is just our version of a great dessert! Have fun with it!
