How to make it
- Important coffee is not finely ground, make sure its coarse, it is too hard to filter later if not.
- Pour coffee into pitcher or bowl, then cold water over it
- Cover and let sit for 18-24 hours. Yes, its a long time, but this will make coffee concentrate, enough for about 30 + cups of delicious, perfect coffee.
- Once the time is up, use a strainer and paper towels to filter coffee into a different pitcher.
- Pour filtered concentrate into sterilized glass containers...I used glass bottles that I would have otherwise recycled. I filled up 2 empty Jim Beam Whiskey bottles. I am from Ky and we love Beam!
- To make a cup: heat up some water in your mug in the microwave, or teapot, then pour coffee concentrate in to taste. I like about 3-4 tbsps to 1 cup water, make as strong or weak as you prefer.
- Drink cold or hot, the concentrate keeps for 1 week in fridge or even longer in freezer.
