Nougat Ice Cream

This seemed like an easy dessert to make and doesn't require an ice cream maker.
Ingredients
- 3 c. milk shopping list
- 1 c. sugar shopping list
- 5 egg yolks shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 c. heavy cream shopping list
- 5 egg whites shopping list
- 1/3 c. each of pistachio, filbert, walnut, and almond meats, finely chopped shopping list
- 1 tsp. almond extract shopping list
- 1 Tbls. vanilla extract shopping list
How to make it
- Make a custard of the first four ingredients.
- Strain and cool.
- Add heavy cream beaten until stiff.
- Beat egg whites until stiff then fold into cream mixture.
- Add flavoring and chopped nuts
- Freeze until firm
