Ingredients
  • 1 package (18-1/4 oz.) devil's food cake mix
  • **********************************
  • 2 tsp. hot water
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/3 c. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • ************************************
  • Ganache frosting:
  • 1 c. (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 c. heavy whipping cream

Directions
  1. Prepare and bake cupcakes according to package directions for cupcakes.
  2. Cool for 5 min. before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
  3. For filling, in a small bowl, combine water and salt until salt is dissolved.
  4. Cool.
  5. In a small bowl, beat the marshmallow creme, shortening, powdered sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy; add the salt mixture.
  6. Cut a small hole in the corner of a pastry or plastic bag; insert round pastry tip.
  7. Fill the bag with cream filling.
  8. Push the tip through the bottom of paper cupcake liner to fill each cupcake ( I filled the cupcakes through the top of them).
  9. In a heavy saucepan, melt the chocolate chips with cream; stir until smooth.
  10. Cool.
  11. Dip cupcake tops into frosting; chill for 20 min. or until set.
  12. Store in the refrigerator.
  13. Enjoy! :)
