Green Tea And Cherry Ice Recipe
Adapted from CHOW. Tasty lime, cherry and green tea get frozen and blended into a delicious slushie!

Ingredients
  • 3 cups sour cherry juice
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1/4 cup sugar or Splenda granular (sugar used for NI)
  • 3 bags green tea

Directions
  1. Bring juices, ginger and sugar to a simmer in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved, then remove from heat.
  3. Add green tea bags and let steep for 25 minutes.
  4. Strain into a shallow glass baking dish and cool to room temperature.
  5. Freeze one hour. Rake through mixture with a fork to break up the ice.
  6. Return to the freezer and repeat freezing and raking process until mixture is completely frozen and grainy - this takes about 6 hours.
