AFTER DINNER HOT CHOCOLATE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Donovan Estate in Fate Texas in 1991.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups water
  • 4 ounces semisweet chocolate chopped
  • 3 tablespoons amaretto
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • Finely shredded orange peel

Directions
  1. In small saucepan combine water and chocolate then cook and stir just until boiling.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in liqueur.
  3. In a small chilled mixing bowl beat cream with electric mixer on low speed until soft peaks form.
  4. Top each serving of cocoa with whipped cream then sprinkle with orange peel.
