Dill Fish Cakes
From kamikatze 15 years agoIngredients
- 2 fillets white fish eg. cod shopping list
- 0.75 cups breadcrumbs shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 tablespoon flour shopping list
- 1.5 tablespoons finely chopped dill shopping list
- salt shopping list
- white ground pepper shopping list
- vegetable oil eg. canola oil shopping list
How to make it
- Thaw the fish fillets and drain very well. Sqeeze out any remaining water.
- Put fish fillets, egg, 0.5 cups breadcrumbs, flour, dill, salt and pepper in a food processor and process till integrated. The fish paste shouldn't get too creamy. It's better to leave little lumps in it. That makes the fish cakes fluffier.
- Form 4 patties with your hands and coat with remaining breadcrumbs.
- Heat the oil in a pan and fry the patties in the medium hot oil. Fry on each side for approximately 4 minutes.
- Serve with potatos and "Quark" (or ifyou can't get it cottage cheese or sour cream with herbs will work well).
