How to make it

  • Thaw the fish fillets and drain very well. Sqeeze out any remaining water.
  • Put fish fillets, egg, 0.5 cups breadcrumbs, flour, dill, salt and pepper in a food processor and process till integrated. The fish paste shouldn't get too creamy. It's better to leave little lumps in it. That makes the fish cakes fluffier.
  • Form 4 patties with your hands and coat with remaining breadcrumbs.
  • Heat the oil in a pan and fry the patties in the medium hot oil. Fry on each side for approximately 4 minutes.
  • Serve with potatos and "Quark" (or ifyou can't get it cottage cheese or sour cream with herbs will work well).
