MY Favorite Streusel Apple Pie

This is the only apple pie I've made for the past 20 yrs. I love the texture and flavor. I always use 3 different types of apples (usually 6 in all) and I always vary the sizes of the slices. This gives great flavor and texture topped with the wonderful streusel.
Ingredients
- 6 apples, sliced shopping list
- 1/2 cup sour cream shopping list
- 2 Tbsp flour shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg shopping list
- TOPPING: 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1/3 cup softened butter shopping list
- 1 un-baked pie crust shopping list
How to make it
- Place apples in bowl.
- Combine next 5 ingredients with the apples.
- Place these in a prepared, dough-lined pie pan.
- Make the topping: cut the butter into the remaining ingredients until mixture is crumbly.
- Put this mixture over the apples.
- Bake in 400 degrees oven 50 minutes.
- Serve plain or with whipped cream, ice cream or sour cream.

I make a version of this out of an old Robin Hood Flour cookbook and they call it Dutch Apple Pie but my recipe doesn't have sour cream in it. I'm going to try it your way, I think that it would be great!
