Ingredients
  • 6 apples, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • TOPPING: 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup softened butter
  • 1 un-baked pie crust

Directions
  1. Place apples in bowl.
  2. Combine next 5 ingredients with the apples.
  3. Place these in a prepared, dough-lined pie pan.
  4. Make the topping: cut the butter into the remaining ingredients until mixture is crumbly.
  5. Put this mixture over the apples.
  6. Bake in 400 degrees oven 50 minutes.
  7. Serve plain or with whipped cream, ice cream or sour cream.

Love apple pie! Love it made with sour cream! :)


I make a version of this out of an old Robin Hood Flour cookbook and they call it Dutch Apple Pie but my recipe doesn't have sour cream in it. I'm going to try it your way, I think that it would be great!
