Cream Cheese Bread

- 2 pkgs. active dry yeast shopping list
- 1/2 cup warm water, 110* shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter, melted shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 4 cups flour shopping list

- 2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 1 egg, lightly beaten shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list

- --Glaze-- shopping list
- 2 cups powdered sugar shopping list
- 2 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 4 Tbsp. milk shopping list
How to make it
- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in sour cream, butter, sugar, eggs and salt. Add flour; stir until smooth. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- The next morning, combine all the filling ingredients and set aside.
- Meanwhile, punch dough down and divide into 6 equal portions. Turn one portion onto a floured surface and roll into a 12x8" rectangle.
- Spread with 1/6 of the filling.
- Roll up from one of the long sides; seal seams and fold ends under. Place on a greased baking sheet.
- Repeat with remaining dough and filling.
- Using scissors, cut 3/4" deep into side of each roll at 3/4" intervals, alternating from one side to the other.
- Cover and let rise in a warm place until almost doubled, about 45 minutes.
- Bake at 375* for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 10 minutes before removing to wire racks.
- For Glaze: Combine sugar and vanilla. Gradually add milk until glaze is of spreading consistancy; drizzle over warm bread.
- Yield: 6 loaves
