Ingredients
  • 1 1/8 cups tomato juice
  • 2 TBS. evol
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 3 TBS.chopped fresh basil or 1 TBS. dried and crushed
  • 3 cups unbleached flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. fast acting teast- bread machine yeast

Directions
  1. pre heat oven to 3758f.
  2. bake pockets for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
  3. these pockets go good with lamb fillings. Italian and middle eastern-flavored cheese or meat fillings work well.
  4. can substitute mint for basil.
