    I found the original Squaw Bread recipe. It does have yeast in it. It also has both brown sugar and unsulphured molasses.

    Okay, I'm not sure what Chart House this is from, but the Chart House in California serves a yeasted squaw bread that's very good - this has no yeast in it, so it would bake up like a quick bread. Not sure how this is the same bread at all.

    Did you get this directly from the Chart House. I have waited 25 years for this recipe. I'm soooo excited.

    Delicious - can't wait to try this one...thanks, blondeberry for sharing this great (and easy!) bread recipe - I can't remember how long it's been since I've had this, but I DO know that it is a very tasty slice of breat (and the honey butter puts it right over the top...).

    Hello....
    I have never eaten this particular bread
    but it sounds good enough for
    a "5"FORK!!!!! rating!
    I also like 'bread' recipes that do not require
    using 'yeast'!
    Thank-you for sharing....
