These spooky little biscuits make a great companion for all fall dishes. Just add a few to a soup or stew, and you have a wonderful, hearty, and cozy dish that your family will just love.

Ingredients
  • 5 c. Flour
  • 1 c. Ground Oatmeal
  • 4 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/3 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 c. Cooking Oil
  • 2 c. Buttermilk (1 1/2 c. milk and 1/2 c. vinegar)
  • 2 pkg. (4 1/2 tsp.) dry yeast in 1/2 c. warm water
  • 3 Eggs

Directions
  1. The parentheses are alternatives if you don't have the ingredients.
  2. Now, sift all dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Add liquids and mix well.
  4. Knead slightly on a surface covered in ground oatmeal.
  5. Refrigerate for 1 hour in a covered bowl.
  6. Pinch off amount wanted and roll out, or pat out, to about 1/2 in. on a surface covered in ground oatmeal.
  7. Bake for about 5 min or until they puff up on a greased pan at 350 degrees.
  8. Beat eggs, and brush on biscuits.
  9. Finish baking until golden brown.
