Ingredients
- 1 cup butter shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 cup applesauce shopping list
- 2 cups light raisins shopping list
- 1 cup chopped walnuts shopping list
- 1 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 3 1/2 cup sifted flour shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 2 tsp cloves shopping list
- 2 tsp nutmeg shopping list
- Pinch salt shopping list
How to make it
- Sift together: flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Take 1/2 cup of flour mixture and stir into the nuts and raisins. Set both aside. Cream butter until whipped soft. Add sugar a little at a time until mixture is smooth. Beat in eggs vigorously. Alternately stir in flour mixture and applesauce. When all mixed, add nuts and raisins, mix well. Pour batter into greased cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
