Shrimp In Lobster Sauce Recipe
There are many versions of lobster sauce (no lobster to be found in this recipe) even in my area. Depending on where you go for Chinese food, the ingredients vary considerably. This is the version that my family enjoys the most.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. medium shrimp- shelled and deveined
  • 2 TBS peanut oil
  • 3 cloves garlic - finely chopped
  • 4 green onions - thinly sliced
  • 1/2 to 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 TBS soy sauce
  • 1 TBS black bean paste (found in oriental section of market)
  • 1 TBS sherry (dry)
  • 1/2 tsp. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 2 eggs - well beaten

Directions
  1. In a wok, heat oil. Add garlic and green onions. Stir-fry 1 minute. Add pork and stir-fry 5 minutes until no longer pink. Stir in shrimp and stir fry 2-
  2. 3 min until pink. Combine soy sauce, black bean paste, sherry, sugar, salt and pepper. Stir into wok. Combine water and cornstarch, mix until
  3. smooth; stir into wok and cook about 8 minutes(or less) or until thickened. Stir in eggs. Remove from heat and serve immediately over white rice.
