Ingredients
  • Just Another Southern Style Hush Puppies
  • ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • 2 cups of plain corn meal
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 7 tablespoons of minced onion
  • 1 1/2 cups of buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 egg, beaten

Directions
  1. Mix dry ingredients. Add onions.
  2. Stir egg and buttermilk together and add to mixture.
  3. Mix and drop by spoonfuls into hot oil.
  4. When done hush puppies will float to top.
  5. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  6. Note do not OVER heat oil!
