Drizzled Oatmeal Cookies

- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1 cup butter, softened shopping list
- COOKIE: shopping list
- 1/4 cup water shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups uncooked quick cooking oats or old fashioned rolled oats shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- DRIZZLE: shopping list
- 1 cup powdered sugar shopping list
- 3 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa shopping list
- 1 tsp butter, softened shopping list
- 2-3 Tbsp. milk shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine brown sugar and 1 cup butter in a large mixer bowl.
- Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
- Add water; continue beating until well mixed.
- Reduce speed to low; add all remaining cookie ingredients.
- Beat until well mixed.
- Shape dough into 1 1/2-in. balls (dough will be sticky).
- Place 2-in. apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Flatten to 2-in. diameter with bottom of glass dipped in sugar.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Let stand 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets.
- Cool complrtely.
- Combine all drizzle ingredients EXCEPT milk in small mixing bowl.
- Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often and gradually adding enough milk for desired drizzling consistency.
- Drizzle cooled cookies.
