How to make it

  • combine vinegar and sugar in a non aluminum 2-quart sauce pan
  • heat until very hot, stirring occasionally
  • DO NOT BOIL.... ( if the vinegar boils it will become cloudy)
  • pour into a bowl or a 1 quart glass jar
  • stir in raspberries...
  • cover with plastic wrap..
  • let stand in a cool place for 1 week or until the desired amount of flavor develops...
  • strain through fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth twice
  • store up to 6 months in a bottle or jar with a tight lid in the refrigerator
  • makes 2 cups of vinegar

    I want to try this. I suppose I could use frozen raspberries at this time of year. I love homemade dressings. Homemade vinegar will be even better.
